☀️❄️Pre-Install: Check the climate before applying your decals. High humidity and extreme temperatures can negatively impact adhesion, leading to poor bonding or bubbling. This is especially important for steering wheel decals - always apply in a shaded or well-ventilated area for best results.
⚡ Best Surface Temperature: 60–85°F (16–29°C).
1. Clean the Surface
Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol or mild soap and water to remove dirt, wax, and oils. Dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. (Avoid glass cleaners like Windex—they can leave residue that prevents adhesion.)
2. Press Down the Transfer Tape
Before peeling the decal off, press firmly over the clear transfer tape with a card. This ensures the vinyl is stuck properly to the tape.
3. Peel the Backing Paper
Slowly peel the backing paper away from the decal at a slight angle, making sure the vinyl stays attached to the clear transfer tape. If any piece lifts with the backing, press it back down and peel again slowly.
4. Align the Decal
Align your decal carefully before pressing down. Once you have it centered within the emblem - start applying from the center.
5. Firmly Press It In
Use a card to firmly press the vinyl decal down - from center to right, then center to left. Be sure to scrape especially along edges and corners, for maximum adhesion.
6. Remove the Transfer Tape
After the decal is stuck on fully, slowly peel the clear transfer tape off at a diagonal angle, leaving the vinyl decal adhered to the emblem. Take your time - patience is key to avoid tears in the vinyl 👍
7. Let It Cure
Avoid touching, scrubbing, or getting the decal wet for at least 24 hours. Full bond strength is reached after 48–72 hours.
For long lasting decal, avoid car washes and abrasions. Gentle hand wash only 🧽
